The Marriage Law has undergone changes regarding the minimum age for marriage as stated in Law Number 16 of 2019 as an amendment to Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. The change sets the minimum age for both males and females at 19 years, based on the prevention of violence, protection of children's rights, and the reduction of divorce rates. This research discusses the implementation of the Marriage Law on underage marriages, the factors causing underage marriages, and the efforts made by the Mojolaban Subdistrict Office of Religious Affairs to minimize underage marriages. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, aiming to narrate solutions to existing problems within the real social context. To obtain data, informants with competence and relevance to the data requirements are necessary. The research aims to understand the implementation of participation and the influencing factors in the study on the Marriage Law's impact on underage marriages in the Mojolaban Subdistrict Office of Religious Affairs area. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of the Marriage Law is in line with the intentions of the legislator, as evidenced by the decreasing annual rates of underage marriages. The decline in underage marriages is attributed to the efforts made by the Office of Religious Affairs in community development in the Mojolaban Subdistrict.
