Phosphorus Absorption of Pakchoy Mustard Plants (Brassic rapa L.) with Various Doses of Rice Straw Compost

Rice straw has the potential to be used as compost because rice straw contains nutrients needed by plants, both macro and micro elements. This study aims to determine the absorption of P nutrients produced from rice straw compost on pak choi mustard plants and the effect on the growth and yield of pak choi mustard plants. The design used was a simple RAK with 5 different doses of rice straw compost 0 ton.ha-1 (D0), 5 ton.ha-1 (D1), 10 ton.ha-1 (D2), 15 ton.ha-1 (D3) and 20 ton.ha-1 (D4). The provision of rice straw compost at a dose of 15 ton.ha-1 was able to increase the absorption of P by 80.03% in pak choi mustard plants compared to other treatments. The growth of pak choy mustard plants with a dose of 20 tons.ha-1 was able to produce an average plant height of 21.12 cm2, the number of leaves was 15.67 leaves and the leaf area was 1809.79 cm2. The results of pak choy mustard plants with a dose of 20 tons.ha-1 rice straw compost (D0) produced a total fresh weight of 335.50 g, a fresh root weight of 27.50 g and a total dry weight of 84.03 g. The provision of rice straw compost can increase growth by 17.50% to 91.91% and increase yields by 30.29% to 55.66%.
