Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management strategy for integrating religious moderation values into the Civics (PKn) curriculum at Islamic Elementary Schools (MI). Amidst global challenges in the form of radicalism and intolerance, MI as an Islamic educational institution has a strategic role in instilling wasathiyyah values from an early age. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, through analysis of various primary and secondary sources from 2023–2026. The results show that the integration strategy is carried out through three main stages, namely: (1) planning by mapping moderation indicators into Learning Objectives (TP); (2) implementation through a holistic-integrative approach in the classroom and school culture; and (3) evaluation oriented towards moderate character transformation. The novelty of this study lies in the perspective of Islamic education management that emphasizes the synergy between civic values and religious moderation in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum at the elementary school level. This study contributes in the form of a practical framework for MI teachers in developing an inclusive and tolerant civics curriculum.
