How to Write the Title, Name and Address of the Author

The title of the manuscript must be written at the top of the first page with the center line aligning the text. Meanwhile, the author's name (without an academic degree), and the author's affiliate address, must be written with center text alignment also below the title. Authors must provide two spaces between the title and the author's name. Then, the distance between the author's email and the abstract title is two spaces. Keywords should be written under the overall abstract for all words. In addition, it must be separated by a semicolon (;) for a maximum of three to six words.

The responsible author and correspondence should be written first and then followed by a second author, a third author, and so on. Communication regarding manuscript revisions and final statements will be informed via email to the first author only. If there is more than one author, the author's name must be written separately with a comma (,). If the author's name consists of two words, the first name cannot be abbreviated. If the author's name is only one word, it must be written like that. However, in the online version it will be written in two words with the same name repeatedly for metadata indexing purposes.

General Manuscript Guidelines

The general guidelines for the manuscript are as follows:

  • The manuscript submitted is a manuscript that has never been published in other publication media or publishers.
  • The manuscript does not contain any elements of plagiarism. The editorial board will immediately reject texts that demonstrate plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts that have been written under the guidance of Rekasatwa: Jurnal Ilmiah Animal Husbandry (REKAPET) (in MS Word format) must be submitted via the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS) on the portal Rekasatwa: Jurnal Ilmiah Animal Husbandry (REKASATWA) (http:// research.unisma.ac.id/index.php/REKAPET/index) select one procedure. Then, register as a writer in the “Register” section.
  • Templates and manuscript writing guides are available in MS Word (.doc) format and can be downloaded here.
  • Manuscripts that do not comply with the Rekasatwa: Animal Science Journal (REKAPET) writing guidelines will be returned to the author before the review process.
  • The manuscript must contain several aspects of a scientific article in the following order: (a) title, (b) author's name (without academic degree), (c) author's institution, (d) author's email, (e) abstract and keywords, (f) introduction, (g) implementation method, (h) results and discussion, (i) conclusion, (j) bibliography.
  • Subheadings included in sections (a) introduction, (b) implementation method, (c) results and discussion, (d) conclusion, and (e) suggestions must be numbered in numbering order starting from one. Subtitles are written in bold font. It uses left text alignment without underline. Expanded subtitles, next should be written in bold and sentence format, This should use left text alignment and second level numbering format.
  • The manuscript is written in standard Indonesian. Manuscripts must be written according to the template and written on A4 size paper 21 cm (width) 29.7 cm (height) with margins of 2.4-2.5-2.7-2 cm (Top-Left-Bottom-Right).
  • Manuscript text uses Arial style font with size 12 pt for manuscript title, 10 pt for abstract, 11 pt for body paragraphs and 10 pt for title (caption) of tables/images/graphs.
  • Words from foreign languages or which are declared foreign are typed in Italic format. Each paragraph starts 10 mm from the left side border while there is no space between paragraphs.
  • Tables and figures are placed in a text group after the referenced table or figure. Each image must be provided with a caption (image caption) below the image and given a number followed by the image title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and given a number above the table followed by the table title. Tables should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only allowed for important points
  • Attached images must be guaranteed to be printed in good quality (font size, resolution and clearly visible line space). Images, tables and charts should be placed centrally between groups of text. If it has a larger size, it can be placed in the middle of the page.

Guidelines for Writing Body Text of Manuscripts

  • Title: Must be informative, written briefly and clearly. Multiple interpretations must not be appropriate to the problem to be discussed. Written in capital letters and symmetrical. The title of the article does not contain any unusual abbreviations. The main idea should be written first and followed by an explanation. The title of the article should be no more than 20 words.   • Author's Identity: Author's name is written in full without title. [arial, 10], followed by the name of the institution and the author's email. either author 1, author 2 and so on. [arial, 10].
  • Abstract: Consists of an introductory summary (background and objectives), implementation methods, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions. Abstracts should be written in no more than 250 words, in italics and in one paragraph. [arial, 10]
  • Keywords: Consists of a minimum of 3 keywords and a maximum of 6 keywords, each keyword separated by a semicolon (;), and written in italics. [arial, 10]
  • Introduction: Contains an explanation of the problems, challenges or needs of the community (partners) which are the background or inspiration for the implementation of community service activities, objectives and results of the literature review. The entire introductory section is presented in an integrated manner in paragraph form. [arial, 11]
  • Method: Contains an explanation of the stages or steps used to solve problems or describe solutions offered to overcome community problems (partners) including the language used, tools, evaluations and statistics to analyze data) Writing in paragraph form. [arial, 11]
  • Results and Discussion: Contains presentation and topics raised. Each result must be discussed and supported by adequate data. The discussion contains the answers previously stated in the introduction and can be supplemented with tables, graphs (images) and/or charts. [arial, 11]
  • Conclusion: contains conclusions and suggestions. The conclusion will be the answer to the achievements and/or goals. Conclusions should not only contain repetition of results and discussions. It should be a summary of the results as expected by the author in the objective. Suggestions contain follow-up plans (RTL) related to the author's ideas. presented in paragraph form. [arial, 11]
  • Reference List: All references used in the manuscript must be listed in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and/or sources in the form of books) published within the last ten years. Each article must have at least ten references and use APA fifth edition standards. [arial, 11]

Guide to Citations and References

Quotes in manuscripts that are taken from other authors' articles must include the reference source. References should use a reference management application such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.
