About the Journal

Ring Mechanical Engineering, known as RING ME, ISSN 2828-5174 (online), is a scholarly publication managed by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Islam Malang. Issued biannually (January-June and July-December), this journal offers a specialized platform for disseminating high-quality research, innovative scientific insights, and practical case studies in areas such as energy conversion, materials science, production and manufacturing processes. While currently indexed in Dimensions, the journal is also under review for official accreditation (ARJUNA) by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek). With a commitment to advancing both theoretical and applied engineering knowledge, RING ME serves as a valuable resource for researchers and professionals seeking to contribute to technological innovation and address current challenges in mechanical engineering.

Focus and Scope

Ring Mechanical Engineering focuses on three main areas of expertise: energy conversion, materials, production and manufacturing. The journal’s focus and scope within each of these areas can be described as follows:

  1. Energy Conversion

    • Focus: Efficiency in converting energy from one form to another, such as thermal, mechanical, or electrical energy conversion.
    • Scope: Includes internal combustion engines, thermal power systems (like turbines and boilers), and renewable energy technologies (such as solar and wind energy).
  2. Materials

    • Focus: Development and processing of materials with specific properties for mechanical and industrial applications.
    • Scope: Covers research for strength,  heat-resistant, lightweight, and composite materials, with applications in automotive, aircraft, and industrial equipment component.
  3. Production and Manufacturing

    • Focus: Optimization of production and assembly processes, improving efficiency and quality.
    • Scope: Includes manufacturing, manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing (3D printing), industrial automation, quality control, and process engineering for mass production.
