UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERHITUNG PERMULAAN ANAK MELALUI PERMAINAN CONGKLAK PADA USIA 4-5 TAHUN

This study aims to determine the increase in numeracy skills from children aged 4-5 years through the congklak game at Raudhatul Jannah Bambu Apus Pamulang Early Childhood Education, academic year 2021/2022. This research was conducted through the Classroom Action Approach (CAR) with two cycles of the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models which had four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. Each cycle is carried out 4 times of action and 1 time of assessment. The subjects of this study were students aged 4-5 years at Raudhatul Jannah Bambu Apus Pamulang Paud, with a total of 20 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and field notes. The results showed that the game of congklak can improve numeracy skills at the age of 4-5 years. In the pre-study results, it is known that the ability to calculate origin in children aged 4-5 years is still low. After taking action in cycle one, the results of observing traditional instruments of students when playing a game of congklak with a theme according to the cycle, namely in cycle 1 the percentage of success reached 60% and in cycle two the increase with a presentation of 80% was as expected. So it can be said that the use of congklak game media can improve numeracy skills at the early age of 4-5 years in Paud Raudhatul Jannah Bambu Apus Pamulang.
