About the Journal

The Journal Innovation of Civil Engineering (JICE), ISSN 2775-5592, is an academic journal published biannually (June and December) by the Department of Civil Engineering, Universitas Islam Malang. JICE provides a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research, scientific insights, and case studies in the field of civil engineering. The journal upholds the principles of academic integrity, ensuring that all published works are free from political, commercial, and subjective biases. JICE exclusively publishes original articles that have not been previously published in other scientific journals or media. The journal is currently nationally accredited by the ARJUNA in Science and Technology Index (SINTA 3), Directory Open Access Journal (DOAJ), and Dimensions

Focus and Scope

The Journal Innovation of Civil Engineering (JICE) welcomes contributions that encourage the exchange of knowledge and rational discussion between civil engineering researchers/academicians and practitioners . The journal serves as a platform for both of them in the field of civil and structural engineering to share innovative ideas and techniques that have the potential for significant impact.

JICE invites original, empirical, and theoretical research papers, along with case studies and book reviews, across a wide range of civil engineering disciplines. These areas include, but are not limited to: construction management, transportation engineering, disaster mitigation, forensic civil engineering, construction and building materials, structural and earthquake engineering, rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, water science and engineering, ocean and marine engineering, urban engineering, and surveying engineering.

Through this diverse scope, JICE aims to contribute to the ongoing development and innovation within civil engineering, providing a comprehensive forum for both academic and practical advancements in the field.
