About the Journal

Jurnal Inovasi Ilmu Sosial dan Politik (JISoP) with ISSN registration number of 2656-1565 (printed) and 2656-8209 (online) is a journal that publishes scientific articles on the issue of social and political science. The main purpose of this journal publication is disseminating articles from researchers and practitioners on various contemporary social and political issues.

Jurnal Inovasi Ilmu Sosial dan Politik (JISoP) was published by the Institute of Research and Community Service of University of Islam Malang since April 2019 as the initial release on Volume 1, Number 1, 2019. JISoP publishes articles bianually in a year and has been indexed in the database of Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Indonesia One Search (IOS), Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), Garba Rujukan Digital (Garuda), Ministry of Religious Affairs Reference (Moraref), Crossref, Dimensions, WorldCat and registered in ICI (Index Copernicus International).

The Editorial Team accepts articles in Indonesian and English (Bilingual). Every submitted manuscript will be read by the editorial team. Manuscripts that are evaluated by editors and deemed not in accordance with criteria of journal will be rejected without external review. Then, a manuscript that has a special interest to readers is sent to peer reviewers, with two (2) different reviewers for each article by using the double blind system. After reviewing the manuscript, it will be returned to the author for revision process. In this journal, we have twenty (20) reviewers. The editorial team makes decisions based on reviewers’ recommendation. Jurnal Inovasi Ilmu Sosial dan Politik (JISoP) is published twice a year. The Editorial Board invites the authors to submit the best manuscripts to be published in this journal.

Editorial Policy Update: Additional Author Declarations Starting from Vol. 8 No. 2 (2026)

Jurnal Inovasi Ilmu Sosial dan Politik (JISoP) is pleased to announce an important update to its manuscript submission and publication requirements.

Starting from Vol. 8 No. 2 (2026), all submitted manuscripts are required to include the following declarations as part of the manuscript:

  1. Author Contributions
    Authors must clearly state the specific contributions of each author to the research and preparation of the manuscript.
  2. Funding Statement
    Authors must disclose the source of funding supporting the research. If the research received no specific funding, an appropriate statement of no funding should be provided.
  3. Conflict of Interest
    Authors must declare any financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that could potentially influence the research or its interpretation. If no conflict exists, authors should explicitly state that there is no conflict of interest.
  4. Declaration of AI Usage
    Authors must disclose the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the research and/or manuscript preparation, where applicable. The declaration should specify the AI tool(s) used and the purpose of their use. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscript.
Implementation

These declarations are intended to strengthen transparency, research integrity, accountability, and ethical standards in the publication process of Jurnal Inovasi Ilmu Sosial dan Politik (JISoP).

Authors submitting manuscripts from Vol. 8 No. 2 (2026) onward are expected to include these statements in accordance with the journal's manuscript guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to the authors for completion before proceeding to the next stage of the editorial process.
