This study aims to describe the application of the Talaqqi method in Quran memorization learning for seventh-grade students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Satu Atap (MTs SA) Al Islam Jamsaren Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia and to systematically outline the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and in-depth interviews with teachers and tahfidz students. The results indicate that the implementation of the Talaqqi method is carried out through three main stages: (1) the preparation stage, which involves systematic initial planning through needs-based learning, adapting strategies and student abilities; (2) the implementation stage, which involves controlled repetition, oriented toward the quality and resilience of memorization; and (3) the evaluation stage, which involves daily assessments and monthly tasmi' activities. Supporting factors include the competence of tahfidz teachers who possess a valid sanad (chain of transmission), a religious school environment, and the teachers' intensive guidance and attention to students. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in students' Quran reading abilities, low learning motivation due to lack of family support, excessive use of gadgets, a limited number of tahfidz teachers, and student boredom while waiting for their turn to memorize. This study provides empirical insight into the practical application of the Talaqqi method at the madrasah tsanawiyah level and serves as a reference for educators and administrators in Islamic educational institutions to improve the effectiveness of Quran memorization learning in a sustainable manner.
