FOR AUTHOR

Journal of Research on English and Language Learning (J-REaLL) aims to offer a professional and respectful experience at each stage of the review and publication process. Authors also have specific responsibilities. We expect that you will:

  • Respond promptly to any inquiries during the publication process.
  • Take full responsibility for your work, including addressing and resolving any accuracy concerns.
  • Keep all communications between you and the journal editor confidential until a decision is made.
  • Regarding authorship, you must:
    • Include anyone who has made a significant and meaningful contribution to the submission (others involved should be acknowledged separately).
    • Exclude those who have not contributed or who do not wish to be associated with the research.

J-REaLL maintains high standards for both the process and the quality of publications. Upon submission, articles are evaluated to ensure they align with the journal's scope and are free from plagiarism. The editorial board will determine whether the article proceeds to peer review and may provide reasons if it does not.

J-REaLL is not suited for those who are typically hit-and-run authors (those who disregard feedback from editors and reviewers) or those who are in a rush to publish (such as those requesting a Letter of Acceptance immediately after submission). The following is the tentative timeline (subject to revisions required at each stage):

  • Editorial review: 1 to 2 weeks or longer.
  • Review: 1 month to over 2 months (Upon acceptance, a Letter of Acceptance and Article Publication Charge will be sent).
  • Copy Editing: Queue entry from 2 weeks to 4 weeks. The duration of copy editing varies depending on the article.
  • Production: 2 weeks to 1 month (the article is published immediately).
