Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) in improving the quality of academic services and to examine the basic rules for its application based on Islamic values at the Faculty of Da'wah, PTIQ University, Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed systematically through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of SIAKAD since 2018 has been integrated and based on modern management, supported by hardware, software, a centralized database, operational procedures, and human resources. This system improves the effectiveness and efficiency of academic services, accelerates access to information, and supports data-driven decision-making. In addition to technical aspects, the implementation of SIAKAD at the Faculty of Da'wah is also based on Islamic normative principles, namely honesty, relevance, accuracy (tabayun), timeliness, and the use of clear language (qawlan maisura). The integration of Qur'anic values into information management strengthens institutional credibility and enhances the faculty's competitiveness, as reflected in the increase in new student enrollments during the 2022–2024 period. This research offers a novel integrative model linking academic digitization, modern educational management, and Islamic ethical values to improve the quality of academic services in Islamic universities.
