Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Guideline to write Title, Name, and Author Address

The title of the manuscript must be written at the top of the first page with the center line of the text alignment. Meanwhile, the author's name (without academic degree), and the address of the author's affiliation, must be written with the center text alignment as well as under the title. Authors must provide two spaces between title and author name. Then, the distance between the author's email and the abstract title is two spaces. Keywords should be written under the overall abstract for all words. Additionally, it must be separated by a semicolon (;) for a maximum of three to six words.

Corresponding authors should be written first and then followed by second author, third author, and so on. Communications regarding manuscript revisions and final statements will be informed by email to the first authors only. If there is more than one author, the author's name must be written separately with a comma (,). If the author's name consists of two words, the first name should not be abbreviated. If the author's name is only one word it should be written clearly. However, in the online version it will be written in two words with the same name repeatedly for metadata indexing purposes.

Manuscript General Guidelines
The general guidelines for the manuscript are as follows:

  • The submitted manuscripts are manuscripts that have never been published in other publication media or publishers.
  • The script does not contain any plagiarism element. The editorial board will immediately reject texts that show plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts that have been written under the guidance of the Jurnal Inovasi Hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat (JIPEMAS) (in MS Word format) must be submitted through the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS) on the Jurnal Inovasi Hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat (JIPEMAS) portal (http: // research.unisma.ac.id/index.php/jipemas) choose one procedure. Then, register as an author in the “Register” section.
  • Templates and script writing guides are available in MS Word (.doc) format and can be downloaded here.
  • Manuscripts that are not relevance with the guidelines for writing the Jurnal Inovasi Hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat (JIPEMAS) will be returned to the author prior to the review process.
  • The manuscript must contain several aspects of the scientific article in the following order: (a) title, (b) author's name (without academic degree), (c) author's institution, (d) author's e-mail, (e) abstract and keywords, (f) introduction, (g) method of implementation, (h) results and discussion, (i) conclusions, (j) references.
  • Subtitles that are included in (a) introduction, (b) method of implementation, (c) results and discussion, (d) conclusions, and (e) suggestions must be numbered in order of numbering starting from one. Subtitles are written in bold format. It uses left text alignment without an underline. Subtitles are expanded, next should be written in bold and sentence format. It should use left text alignment and second-level numbering format.
  • Manuscripts are written in Indonesian with standard language. Manuscripts must be written based on the template and written on paper with a custom size of 18 cm (width) 25 cm (height) with a margin of 2.49-2.5-2.49-2 cm (Top-Left-Bottom-Right).
  • The text of the script uses Arial Font style with a size of 12 pt for the script title, 10 pt for the abstract, 11 pt for the body paragraph and 10 pt for the caption of the table / image / graphic.
  • Words from foreign languages or those that are declared foreign are typed in Italic format. Each paragraph starts 10 mm from the left side border while there is no space between paragraphs.
  • Tables and figures are placed in a text group after the referenced table or image. Each image must be labeled (captioned) below the image and numbered followed by the image title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered above the table followed by the table title. Tables should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only allowed for important points
  • Attached images must be guaranteed that they are printed with good quality (font size, resolution and clearly visible line space). Pictures, tables and charts should be centered between groups of text. If it has a larger size, it can be placed in the center of the page.


Guidelines for Writing Manuscript Body Text

  • Title: Must be informative written in a concise and clear manner. There must not be multiple interpretations which must be precise on the issue to be discussed. Written in capital letters and symmetrically. The article title does not contain any unusual abbreviations. The main idea should be written first and followed by an explanation. The title of the article must be written in no more than 20 words. [Arial, 12] with bold selection and in middle of text format.
  • Author Identity: The author's name is written completely without a title. [Arial, 11], followed by the name of the institution and the author's email. either author 1, author 2 and so on. [Arial, 10].
  • Abstract: Written in English and Indonesian, consisting of an introductory digest (background and objectives), method of implementation, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions. Abstract written in no more than 300 words, italicized and in one paragraph. [Arial, 10]
  • Keywords: Consists of at least 3 keywords and a maximum of 6 keywords, each of which is separated by a semicolon (;), and italicized. [Arial, 10]
  • Introduction: Contains descriptions of problems, challenges, or needs of the community (partners) that are the background or inspiration for the implementation of community service activities, objectives, and literature review results. All parts of the introduction are presented in an integrated manner in paragraph form. [Arial, 11]
  • Implementation Method: Contains descriptions of the stages or steps used to solve problems or describe the solutions offered to overcome community (partner) problems including the language used, tools, evaluation and statistics to analyze data) Writing in the form of paragraphs. [Arial, 11]
  • Results and Discussion: Contains the presentation and topics raised. Each result must be discussed and supported by adequate data. The discussion contains the answers stated earlier in the introduction and can be completed with tables, graphs (pictures), and / or charts. [Arial, 11]
  • Conclusion: contains conclusions and suggestions. The conclusion will be the answer to the achievements and / or goals. Conclusions should not consist only of reiterating results and discussion. It should be a summary of the results as expected by the author in purpose. Suggestions contain a follow-up plan related to the author's ideas. presented in the form of paragraph. [Arial, 11]
  • References: All references used in the manuscript must be listed in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and / or book sources) published in the last ten years. Each article must have at least ten references and be of the APA fifth edition standard. [Arial, 11]


Citations and References Guidelines
Citation in an article that is taken from another author's article must attach a reference sources. References must use a reference application management such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.

The name and address of the author's email submitted in the journal website is to be used only for the exclusive journal purpose and not be used for any personal advantages.
