Abstract

Language skills in early childhood are the main foundation for the future academic development of children, including the ability to read, write. This study aims to determine the effect of the contextual teaching and learning learning model on the language skills of children aged 5-6 years. This is done so that teachers can understand effective and appropriate learning models to improve children's language skills in Group B of Rainbow Kindergarten, Bulukumba Regency. Data were collected using observation sheets. The data were then analyzed descriptively and independently of t tets samples. Based on data analysis, there were significant differences between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of certain learning models in experimental activities has a positive impact on early childhood language skills.
